Boomerang 1 (Part 2) Health & First Aid

This week our cubs tackled Part 2 of Health & First Aid, where we expanded on some of the concepts from last week, as well as had two Grey Wolf resource presentations. It was great to see so many cubs there in the den even with the rain tumbling down. Next week the older Venturer Scouts will be putting on a 'mock emergency' to see if we can put the last two weeks to good use.

Also well done to Owen for his Bronze Boomerang,
and Patrick for his Silver Boomrang.

...and last but not least, congratulations go to Ana, Nuno & Pedro on completing and receiving their Grey Wolf awards.  B R A V O!

Boomerang 1 (Part 1) Health & First Aid

The week we kicked off Part 1 (of 3) of Boomerang 1 - Health and First Aid. Bandages and Slings were everywhere! We even had one cub present us with a new steam-off game that was very popular.

...and we're off!

Well we kicked off the new year with a 'meet & greet' for our New Chums with an information meeting for their parents, as well as a Pack Council with a ramble (and being so hot and humid we had to stop for ice-cream!) for our returning Sixer's, Second's and 10 year olds. It is always good to see such enthusiasm after the holidays.

We look forward to seeing our full packs next week.

Pack! Pack! Pack!

Hi All! Welcome to another term (and year) of Cub Scouts in 2013. We look forward to seeing all our New Chums and returning Cubs. Dates and activities are shown in the newsletter on this website.

BTW - did you know that 2013 is the Chinese Year of the Snake, specifically the Water Snake. Water Snakes are influential and insightful. They manage others well and tend to be good for organizations to utilize as staff. They are quite motivated and intellectual, very determined and resolute about success. They will have what they desire, despite the conclusion or outcome they generate because it is worth it to them to not only be recognized for their efforts, but to be rewarded as well. They are affectionate with their families and friends but do not show this side of their personality to colleagues or business partners.
